The Congregation of Saint Dominic of Gramond and the Roman Congregation of Saint Dominic are united as a single congregation

Published : 21 February 2016

On the feast of Blessed Fra Angelico, the Congregation of Saint Dominic of Gramond and the Roman Congregation of Saint Dominic are united as a single congregation.

CIVCSVA handed the Unification Decree to us along with a letter addressed to the representative of each congregation. The Secretary Archbishop, Msgr. José Rodríguez Carballo, spoke these words to me:

I thank you for the care you have shown in the preparation of this unification, as well as for the sensitivity and care with which you will surely welcome your sisters of the Congregation of St. Dominic of Gramond.

With the very heartfelt wish that this unification, prepared with such care, may render even more fruitful your presence in the Church, please accept, Sister, my fraternal wishes of Peace and all Good.

The celebration of the unification will take place in
Gramond on May 31, 2016, feast of the Visitation.

At that time, the sisters will be assigned to the province of France.
Geographical distances do not make it possible for all the entities to be present in Gramond on May 31. However, some sisters from the closest entities will participate with sisters representing the province of France. All of us, sisters of the congregation, will be able to participate no matter where we are on that day, thanks to a prayer that we will send you and that will be part of the of the celebration.

United with you in Dominican communion,
Sr Carmen Lanao, prieure générale
